 Hi there,

My name is Seán, and it's my turn to host the Crystal Travel newsletter this month. You can learn more about my travel experiences and personal background here.

Have you ever wondered where the Irish like to go for a getaway? Like so many of them, my favorite region to visit is the West coast, also known as the Wild Atlantic Way. There are so many things to love about this area. The striking sound of the waves thrashing against the coastline. The Irish language alive and well in Gaeltacht regions. The laughter, chatter and music found in the pubs.

But the Wild Atlantic Way is known for much more than that. This route spanning more than 1,550 miles of coastline features:

  • Ireland's iconic, world-renowned Cliffs of Moher
  • The cultural hub and must-see city of Galway
  • "Old Ireland" found in visits to the Aran Islands
  • Kylemore Abbey - a place as historical as it is beautiful
  • Six regions of outstanding scenery and culture

Below, I've included two of my favorite tours that show off my favorite region of Ireland. It's time to dive into the Wild Atlantic Way.
